A terminal that has: a control unit that, when selecting a resource that is to be used autonomously from resource candidates, performs resource selection that guarantees a channel for receiving a response related to re-transmission control; a transmission unit that uses the resource candidates to transmit data to another terminal; and a reception unit that receives a response from the other terminal, the response being related to re-transmission control that corresponds to the data.
