Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a terminal device wake-up method and apparatus in a communication network, and a readable storage medium. The method comprises: after a terminal device enters an idle state or an inactive state, if the terminal device detects that a sleep condition is satisfied, the terminal device enters a sleep state from the idle state or the inactive state; and if the terminal device does not receive wake-up information within a first time after entering the sleep state or measures that the signal quality of the wake-up information is less than or equal to a first threshold, the terminal device enters a wake-up state from the sleep state. By using the embodiments of the present application, the probability of the terminal device missing important information (such as a paging message, a system message, a synchronization signal) can be reduced while the power consumption of the terminal device is reduced, and a trade-off between the power consumption and the communication quality is implemented.
