Abstract:
A therapeutic or preventive composition for gastric mucosa diseases caused by Helicobacter pylori, comprising L-glutamine as an active ingredient. Further, there is provided a therapeutic or preventive composition for gastric mucosa diseases caused by Helicobacter pylori, comprising L-glutamine and an azulene derivative in a proportion of 10:1 to 500:1. This azulene derivative is preferably sodium guaiazulenesulfonate or egualen sodium. Oral administration of these compositions in the event of infection with Helicobacter pylori would enable prevention of the development of gastric mucosa damaging caused by Helicobacter pylori per se, or treatment of the same.
