Abstract:
This thermoelectric material is characterized by: having a NaCl-type crystal structure, the cation site of which includes, as chemical components, at least three elements selected from the group consisting of 5-90 at% of Ag, 5-90 at% of Pb, 5-90 at% of Bi, 5-90 at% of Sn, 5-90 at% of Sb, 5-90 at% of In, 5-90 at% of Cd, and 5-90 at% of Tl, and the anion site of which includes, as chemical components, 5-90 at% of S, 5-90 at% of Se, and 5-90 at% of Te; and having an entropy of mixing ΔSmix of at least 1.50 R, where R is a gas constant.
