Abstract:

A thermoplastic elastomer composition which comprises an ethylene-'alpha'-olefin copolymer rubber, a polyolefinic resin, and 0.1 to 150 parts by weight (per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the ethylene-'alpha'-olefin copolymer rubber and the polyolefinic resin) of at least one hydrogenated diene polymer having a degree of hydrogenation of 70 % or above and selected from the group consisting of hydrogenated conjugated diene polymers and products of hydrogenation of conjugated diene-aromatic vinyl random copolymers wherein the aromatic vinyl unit content is 25 wt.% or below, and is characterized by having a complex shear modulus 'eta'*(1) of 1.5 x 105 P or below and a Newtonian viscosity index n of 0.67 or below. This composition can give molded articles so excellent in flexibility as to little cause whitening on bending.
