Title:
THREE-DIMENSIONAL DATA ENCODING METHOD, THREE-DIMENSIONAL DATA DECODING METHOD, THREE-DIMENSIONAL DATA ENCODING DEVICE, AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL DATA DECODING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/027317
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a three-dimensional data encoding method in which an encoded stream is generated by encoding three-dimensional data (S4671), and information indicating an encoding formula used in the encoding is stored in control information for the encoded stream, said encoding formula being one out of a first encoding formula and a second encoding formula (S4672). For example, the three-dimensional data includes position information and attribute information. With regards to the encoding, the position information and the attribute information are encoded. With regards to the storing of information, the information indicating the encoding formula, out of the first encoding formula and the second encoding formula, used in encoding the position information is stored in the control information for the position information, and the information indicating the encoding formula, out of the first encoding formula and the second encoding formula, used in encoding the attribute information may be stored in the control information for the attribute information.
