Abstract:

　Provided is the structure of tilt steering device with which it is possible to prevent unpleasant sounds that occur when adjusting the height of a steering wheel (1), and which ensures adequate durability and smoothness of operation. This tilt steering device is characterized by the provision of stoppers (65) at at least two locations with rotational symmetry with respect to the central axis of an adjustment rod (14) of a shock-absorbing member (21c). When a driven-side cam (15b) is rotated in accordance with the expansion and contraction of the axial dimensions of a cam device (47), the stoppers (65) restrict the rotation of the driven-side cam (15b) without an engaging protrusion (39c) colliding with the front or rear edge of a vertical slot (35b).
