Abstract:
A boundary clock (100), which is a time synchronization device according to this disclosure, includes an offset calculation unit (102) that calculates an offset indicating a difference between the internal device time of an upper device and the internal device time of the boundary clock, a transmission delay time calculation unit (103) that calculates transmission delay times of packets transmitted and received between the upper device and the boundary clock, and a determination unit (111) that determines the location of occurrence of a failure of time synchronization with the upper device on the basis of the offset and the transmission delay times and stops synchronizing the internal device time of a lower device with the internal device time of the boundary clock when determining that the location of occurrence of the failure is the upper device.
