Abstract:
The present application provides a tire tread depth extraction method and system based on 3D structured light technology. The method comprises the following steps: 1) performing registration, plane cluster extraction and rotation on initially extracted tire tread point cloud data to obtain a series of tire tread point cloud data sets; 2) presetting a projection plane on an XZ plane, and making tire tread data of each point cloud data in the data sets two-dimensional by means of a projection method, and obtaining a tire tread curve by means of fitting; and 3) performing groove segmentation to obtain the tire tread depth and calculating the average value to obtain a pattern depth value. Compared with the prior art, advanced structured light point cloud data acquisition and analysis techniques are used in the present application, so that the detection precision is obviously improved compared with a conventional line laser mode; moreover, unlike the conventional line laser mode in which manual registration is required, according to the method of the present application, the depth can be extracted only by importing tire surface point cloud data, so that automation and intelligence in technology are achieved, and the detection efficiency is improved, thereby standardizing motor vehicle tire tread depth detection, and ensuring the traffic safety by means of the tire safety.
