Abstract:
This pneumatic tire (10) is provided with a carcass ply (14) and a tread section (18), and the carcass ply (14) has: a main body ply (14m) reaching from a tread section (18) to a bead core (12); and a folded-back ply (14e) folded back around the bead core (12). The end (14u) of the folded-back ply (14e) extends to a position having a height exceeding that of the tire maximum width position (SWM). The bead filler height (BFH) is in the range of 20-60% of the tire cross-sectional height (SH), and the bead filler width (W2) at the height position (SH3) that is 30% of the tire cross-sectional height (SH) is no greater than 40% of the bead filler root width (W1). Also, the tread width (TW) is at least 81% of the tire maximum width (SW), and the radius (R) of curvature of the carcass ply (14) at an extension line (FL1) extending in the tread width direction (W) and passing through the tire maximum width position (SWM) in a cross section in the direction of tire width is at least 30 mm.
