Abstract:

This torque sensor is provided with: a sensor housing; a first sleeve that is attached to a first rotation member that rotates in relation to the sensor housing; a magnet attached to the first sleeve; a second sleeve that is attached to a second rotation member linked via a torsion bar to the first rotation member; a carrier attached to the second sleeve; a yoke that is attached to the carrier, and that faces the magnet in the radial direction which is orthogonal to the axial direction, which is the lengthwise direction of the first rotation member; and a magnetism collecting member that is attached to the sensor housing, and that faces the yoke in the axial direction. The carrier faces an opposing end surface of either the first sleeve or the magnet in the axial direction. The length in the axial direction of the gap between the carrier and the opposing end surface is less than the length in the axial direction of the gap between the yoke and the magnetism collecting member.
