A touch substrate (1) and a display panel. The touch substrate (1) comprises a plurality of touch units (15); and each touch unit (15) comprises a first electrode (100) and a second electrode (200) which are electrically insulated from each other. The first electrode (100) comprises a first trunk electrode (110) extending along a first direction, and at least one first branch pattern (101) and at least one third branch pattern (103) respectively provided on two sides of the first trunk electrode (110). The second electrode (200) comprises a second trunk electrode (210) extending along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and at least one second branch pattern (202) and at least one fourth branch pattern (204) respectively provided on two sides of the second trunk electrode (210). In the second direction, the first branch pattern (101) and the second branch pattern (202) respectively diffuse towards two sides with a first connection center (150) and a second connection center (250) as midpoints. The third branch pattern (103) surrounds the second branch pattern (202), and the fourth branch pattern (204) surrounds the first branch pattern (101).
