Abstract:
A traction driving elevator system includes a first guide rail and a secondary guide
rail installed on the shaft, a cage moved along the first guide rail and a counterweight
moved along the secondary guide rail, and a traction machine. The traction machine
further includes a stator, a rotor and a traction sheave installed inside the
machine housing. The two ends of the machine housing are fixed on the tops of two
opposite shaft walls. The cage and counterweight are suspended on the traction
sheave of the traction machine by a set of steel ropes. According to the present
invention, the system has the following advantages. Because the stator, the
rotor and the traction sheave of the traction machine are installed inside the
machine housing which is served as a bearing beam, nothing but the machine housing
occupies a height of the upright space of the shaft and the traction machine do
not additionally occupy the upright space of the shaft.. Therefore, the system effectively
reduces an occupancy rate of the vertical space of the shaft, proportionally increases
an utilization rate of the vertical space of the shaft, reduces the height needed
by the top layer of the building and the cost of raw and processed material.
