Abstract:
A device for computing a traffic index necessary for computing a signal control parameter, said device comprising: a first computation unit which computes normalization data which is expressed as a ratio of an entrance road traffic variable of an intersection of interest to a saturation traffic flow; and a second computation unit which, using the normalization data, computes the traffic index which is defined with an expression in which the entrance road traffic variable is included in the numerator and the saturation traffic flow is included in the denominator.
