Abstract:
An objective of the present disclosure is to provide a transportation system in which a traction member that pulls a car can follow a track easily and thereby cause the car to travel smoothly, even if the track includes a compound curved portion curving in both a plan view and an elevation view. A transportation system (1) according to the present disclosure comprises a track (2), a car (3) that travels on the track (2), a traction member (4) which is secured to the car (3) and which pulls the car (3), a driving device (5) that causes the traction member (4) to move, and a guide case (6) which is provided along the track (2) and which accommodates the traction member (4) to guide the movement of the traction member (4). The traction member (4) is a link chain (41) including a plurality of annular members (40) joined in a linear manner.
