Abstract:
This rotary compressor is provided with an annular cylinder in which a compression chamber is formed, and a piston rotating along the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder. The piston eccentrically rotates in the cylinder to compress a refrigerant in the compression chamber. The cylinder is provided with an annular cylinder body, and a moving member that is disposed in a recess formed in the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder body and that is movable in the radial direction of the cylinder within the recess. The moving member has a front surface constituting a portion of the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder, and the front surface is pressed, by a pressure imparted to a rear surface opposite to the front surface, radially inward so as to protrude toward the center side as compared with a virtual circle along the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder body. The piston rotates along the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder while pressing the moving member radially outward.
