Abstract:
A compound represented by general formula (2) [wherein R1 and R2 are as defined above; and X represents a halogen atom] is reacted in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a base. In this manner, it becomes possible to synthesize a triarylene compound under mild conditions using an easily available compound.
