Abstract:
A trocar wherein a tube outlet part (10) of a cannula (2) is made to communicate with a mandrel (8) of the cannula (2), a cutting blade (11) is provided to the tube outlet part (10), and the tube outlet part (10) opens toward the cutting blade (11). The cutting blade (11) can thereby be inserted into an eyeball to form an incision, and the cannula (2) can be fitted by insertion in the eyeball through the incision while the cutting blade (11) remains in the eyeball. In addition, two lateral cutting edges (22) that extend from a distal cutting edge (21) in the cutting blade (11) have maximally external cutting edges (22a) located in an outside region (Q) that is outside relative to a boundary surface (19a) that includes the inner circumferential surface (19) of the tube outlet part (10). Therefore, the width dimension of the cutting blade (11) can be set greater than the inner radius of the cannula (2).
