Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to alleviate pain to the patient. This trocar (1) for use in thoracoscopic surgery is provided with a tubular part (10) of elliptical cross-sectional shape, and an outside flange (20) and an inside flange (30) situated at either end of this tubular part (10). The tubular part (10) has two flat side wall sections (11), arcuate sections (12) connecting the side wall sections at either end thereof, and a dividing wall section (13) linking both side wall sections at the substantial center thereof, and two openings (14) are formed by the dividing wall section (13).
