Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a water-soluble cutting/grinding fluid that has excellent permeation properties and washability, that can be widely used in cutting and grinding treatments, and that can be particularly suitable for use in super finishing. The present invention relates to a water-soluble cutting/grinding fluid that comprises a glycol compound (A), at least one substance (B) that is selected from amount the group consisting of organic amines and inorganic alkalis, a surfactant (C), and water (D), and wherein the contact angle that is measured using the θ/2 method one second after a drop of a diluted solution of the water-soluble cutting/grinding fluid is dropped on an SPCC-SB plate is 2-15°.
