Abstract:
A two-cycle internal combustion engine provided with: a fuel injection valve 25 for supplying fuel to a crank chamber 8; an intake air passage 17 for drawing in only air by means of negative pressure during operation of a piston 4; and a scavenging passage 18 connecting the crank chamber 8 and a combustion chamber 6. The intake air passage 17 branches into a first intake air passage 21 and a second intake air passage 22. The first intake air passage 21 communicates with the crank chamber 8. The second intake air passage 22 communicates with the scavenging passage 18. The fuel injection valve 25 injects fuel into the first intake air passage 21 and/or the crank chamber 8. When the intake of air is completed, air remaining in the scavenging passage 18 contributes to scavenging as leading air.
