Abstract:
Disclosed are an ultrasonic device capable of switching vibration modes, and a method. The device comprises a hollow shaft, an ultrasonic electric motor, a limiting housing, an electromagnet, a moving head, a vibration source and a tool head; and is formed by combining the structural design of the ultrasonic electric motor and a magnetostrictive material, and driving coils with different functions, such that the device can generate, without changing assemblies, ultrasonic waves with switchable modes, namely, three different vibration modes, i.e. longitudinal vibration, torsional vibration and longitudinal torsional vibration. In a running process of the device, different vibration modes are excited without needing to replace parts again, such that machining requirements of different vibration modes are met, operation is also more convenient and faster, and the overall design structure of the device ensures that the device can run efficiently and safely.
