Abstract:
In the present invention, a prior holding unit employs a prior holding member that surrounds the outer peripheral surface of a tool horn and that has an opening disposed along the axial direction of the tool horn. The prior holding member is configured to have further formed therein a vent hole and to be further provided with a blast means for blowing cooling gas so as to cool the outer peripheral surface of the tool horn that has become hot. By using an ultrasonic staking unit for performing ultrasonic staking on a staking target member by ultrasonically vibrating the tool horn and in a state of pressing the surface of the mounting member by the prior holding member through movement of the prior holding member toward the staking target member and a mounting member, the ultrasonically vibrated tool horn is moved to a boss section of the staking target member, the ultrasonic staking is performed, and cooling gas is blasted onto the tool horn through the vent hole. In addition, after the lifting of the tool horn is initiated upon completion of the ultrasonic staking, the cooling gas is introduced in between the tool horn and the boss section.
