The present invention makes it possible to lighten the work burden of inputting diagnostic aid information. An interior storage unit (17) stores diagnostic aid information as well as the display position of the diagnostic aid information within a display region where an ultrasound image is displayed, in mutual association, for each of a plurality of test items. An image generation unit (14) generates an ultrasound image that pertains to a test item subject to scanning, on the basis of an echo signal from an ultrasound probe (1). A monitor (2) comprises the display region. A display control unit (16a) controls the monitor (2) so as to display specific diagnostic aid information associated with the test item subject to scanning from among the diagnostic aid information stored in the interior storage unit (17), at the specific display position associated with the specific diagnostic aid information.
