Abstract:
This underwear-style absorbent article comprises an absorbent body, an exterior body, and a pair of side joining portions. The pair of side joining portions join the ventral region and the dorsal region of the exterior body at the side edge portions thereof in the lateral direction orthogonal to the lengthwise direction. The side joining portions each have a waist end region, a leg end region, and an elongated seal row which is disposed in at least one of the end regions and in which elongated seal portions are lined up in the lengthwise direction. Each of the elongated seal portions includes an inner seal region that is located on the inner side in the lateral direction and an outer seal region that is located on the outer side in the lateral direction and has a higher seal strength than the inner seal region. The degree of melted fibers in the outer seal region is higher than the degree of melted fibers in the inner seal region. The inner seal region has microscopic unevenness formed in the thickness direction.
