Title:
UNIVERSAL AUTOMATED FLOW LINE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ITEMS FROM NATURAL OR ARTIFICIAL STONE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/008861
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to a universal automated flow line for the production of items from natural or artificial stone, whereby such a line can be used together with existing stone processing equipment. The inventive line is characterized by high versatility in use since it makes possible to rapidly (i.e. in a few minutes) readjust the production line in order to process items of different sizes or different rocks, which sometimes come from different deposits, and also to process items with a picked surface. The production line makes it possible to produce thin decorative slabs, facing slabs, curbstones and thick steps without modifying the production line output, whereby said output may exceed 50,000 sq. m. per year in case of two-shift operation.
