Abstract:
Use of a manganese-containing compound in reducing the level of uric acid in a mammalian subject. Particularly, the present invention relates to use of an insoluble manganese-containing compound in the preparation of a medicament for preventing and/or treating the increased level of uric acid in the blood and/or digestive tract of the mammalian subject or diseases or symptoms related to the increased level of uric acid in the blood and/or digestive tract, a pharmaceutical composition for such use, a kit, and a method for preventing and/or treating the related diseases or symptoms.
