The invention relates to a user detection system comprising a strain gauge (2) and a method of operation for the same, wherein the strain gauge (2) located on the mounting member (1) is enabled to generate different signals depending on the force, which is applied by a user on the ceramic sanitary ware (5) while using said ceramic sanitary ware (5) and which is transmitted by the ceramic sanitary ware (5) to the mounting member (1), and the presence of the user is enabled to be detected based on said signals.
