Description:
WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM DEVELOPED FOR THE WATER TANK OF A SMART TOILET COVER

Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to a water drainage system enabling to drain the flushing water, which is stored within a water tank located on the smart toilet covers, in case said flushing water reaches the maximum level.

State of the Art

In the toilets, the water to be used as the flushing water is stored in the water tanks, which may also be called the flush tanks. The water collected within said tanks is used for the flushing process when the use of the toilet has ended and the water tank/flush tank becomes ready for the subsequent use upon refilling the tank with the quantity of water corresponding to the quantity that has been consumed.

In the smart toilet covers, the water tanks intended for storing the flushing water are provided as components integrated with the cover. As a result of a likely fault occurring in the smart toilet covers during the refill of the water tank after the use, the refill process could continue even when the water within the water tank has reached the maximum level, resulting in the overflow. It is necessary to drain the water that overflows in case the water within the water tank/flush tank has reached the maximum level, before said water finds its way to the clean water installation. According to the state of the art, the solution for this problem has been provided by way of drainage of the overflow water to the floor of the area where the toilet is used. However this situation is unfavorable for the users from the perspective of hygiene. Moreover, a floor that gets wet and stays in wet state may lead to the undesirable problems and damage on the floor covering.

The water overflow channel (1) used in the state of the art can be seen in the figures. The bottom surface of the water overflow channel (1) is positioned at a certain height from the toilet surface. When the water within the water tank/flush tank (S) reaches the maximum level, it is drained via the water overflow channel (1) to the floor of the area where the toilet is used.

As a solution for the problem mentioned above, the water drainage system according to the invention has been developed to perform the drainage of water into the toilet bowl instead of the floor of the area where the toilet is used.

Object of the Invention

An object of the invention is to develop a water drainage system enabling the drainage of the water, which overflows as a result of reaching the maximum level within the water tanks/flush tanks positioned on the smart toilet covers, in order to prevent said overflow water from flowing into the clean water installation, wherein said water drainage system is capable of guiding the drained water into the toilet bowl.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The invention relates to a water drainage system enabling to drain the flushing water, which is stored within a water tank located on the smart toilet covers, in case said flushing water reaches the maximum level.

After the use of the water collected within the water tank/flush tank (S) for the flushing process, it is necessary to refill the water tank/flush tank (S). The filling of water into the water tank/flush tank (S) is provided upon a solenoid valve permitting the input of water and upon said solenoid valve preventing the input of water to the water tank/flush tank (S) when the water level within the water tank/flush tank (S) has reached the predetermined level. The quantity of water within the water tank/flush tank (S) is detected preferably with the help of a water level sensor. However, when the water level within the water tank/flush tank (S) exceeds the predetermined maximum level due to a failure that may occur in the smart toilet cover, the overflow process takes place. According to the state of the art, when the water level within the water tanks/flush tanks (S) positioned on the smart toilet covers exceeds the maximum water level, the overflow water is drained by means of a water overflow channel (1) on the water tank/flush tank (S). However, the water that is drained from the water overflow channel (1) employed according to the state of the art flows down to the floor of the area where the toilet, on which the water tank/flush tank (S) is positioned, is used. This situation leads to the development of adverse conditions in terms of hygiene as well as causing the use of the toilet to become not preferable for the users. The drainage system according to the invention has been developed as a solution for said problem.

The drainage system according to the invention comprises in its most basic form at least one water tank main body (A) and the water drainage channel (2) positioned on the main body (A).

The water drainage channel (2) contained in the water drainage system developed within the scope of the invention can be seen in Figure 1. The water drainage channel (2) is positioned such that it is disposed at a lower point than the water overflow channel (1) employed according to the state of the art. The water flowing from the water drainage channel (2) advances via the water path (3) shown in Figure 5 and flows into the toilet bowl (4). In this way, the water, which flows down to the floor of the area where the toilet is used according to the state of the art, is guided into the toilet bowl (4).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the flow channel (5) is formed on the main body (A) of the water tank/flush tank (S) in order to enable the water coming from the water path (3) to more easily flow into the toilet bowl (4). Said flow channel (5) is formed by way of engraving or cutting said main body (A) in a way to form an inward recess. The flow channel (5) is shown in Figures 6 and 7. The state of the art, which lacks the flow channel (5) present in the water drainage system according to the invention, is shown in Figures 8 and 9.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the water drainage channel (2) present in the water drainage system according to the invention has a circular form. The diameter of the water drainage channel (2) having a circular form is designed to have a size ensuring that the water will be drained without any problem depending on the water inflow velocity to the water tank/flush tank (S).

Owing to the water drainage system according to the invention, it is made possible to drain into the toilet bowl (4) the water that overflows after reaching the predetermined maximum level within the water tank/flush tank (S), thereby preventing the overflow water from wetting the floor in the area of use and enabling to avoid the associated problems of hygiene.
