Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) to request a reference signal such as a channel state information (CSI) or a sounding reference signal (SRS). In one aspect, the UE may determine to request a RS from a base station (BS) based on a configured trigger state for the RS. The UE may transmit an uplink request for at least one reference signal. The uplink request indicates a trigger state for the UE. The trigger state may correspond to at least one configured RS. Accordingly, the BS may determine which reference signal is requested. The UE and the BS may communicate the at least one RS corresponding to the trigger state in response to the uplink request for example, based on a grant from the BS or a time offset from the uplink request.
