Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to perform a small-cell detection operation appropriately on the basis of the presence or absence of assist information from a network. This user terminal, which communicates with both a base station that serves a small cell and a base station that serves a macrocell that contains the small cell within the coverage area thereof, is provided with a reception unit that receives a small-cell detection instruction containing assist information and timing information transmitted via the macrocell, a detection unit that detects a PSS/SSS contained within a small-cell-detection reference signal transmitted via the small cell in accordance with the aforementioned timing information, and a measurement unit that measures a measurement reference signal contained within the small-cell-detection reference signal in accordance with the aforementioned assist information and the detected PSS/SSS.
