Abstract:
A vacuum pump 1 comprises a rotating shaft 2, a bearing 3, and a pump housing 10. The rotating shaft 2 mechanically connects to an engine, the bearing 3 is disposed on a side wall of the pump housing 10 and rotatably supports one end of the rotating shaft 2, and the pump housing 10 has a rotor 11, a pump chamber 12, a vane 13, a suction port 14, and a discharge port 15. Lubricating oil is supplied to the inside of both the bearing 3 and the pump housing 10. A surface of the bearing 3 on an opposite side facing the pump housing 10 is sealed by a sealing member 30, and the pump chamber 12 is provided with communication holes 31, 32 through which the interior and exterior of the pump chamber 12 communicate.
