Abstract:

A valve gear (48) of an internal combustion engine (10), wherein intake valves (36) fitted to cylinders are drivingly opened and closed by motors (54A, 54B). The intake valves (36) are driven by the motors (54A, 54B) for each of a plurality of groups formed of cylinder groups in which an explosion stroke is performed for each of crank angles spaced at approximately equal intervals. Since the intake valves (36) are driven for each of the plurality of groups formed of cylinder groups in which the explosion stroke is performed for each of the crank angles spaced at approximately equal intervals, the explosion stroke is not irregularly performed. As a result, the deterioration of drivability can be suppressed even when the valve gear is operated by using only those cylinders in any of these groups.
