Abstract:
A valve timing adjustment device (100a-100f) is equipped with: a hydraulic fluid control valve (10), which has a tubular outer sleeve (30a-30f) having on the outer circumference thereof a protruding part (35a-35f), an inner sleeve (40) arranged inside the outer sleeve, and a spool (50) that moves forward and backward inside the inner sleeve along a rotational axis AX of the outer sleeve; an actuator (160) for controlling the forward and backward movement of the spool; and a vane rotor (130, 130f), which changes the rotation phase of a driven shaft relative to a drive shaft in accordance with the hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic fluid supplied from the hydraulic fluid control valve. A reference shape section (35ac-35fc), which serves as a reference when positioning relative to the inner sleeve is carried out, is provided at the outer periphery of the protruding part. A seating surface (35az-35fz) of the protruding part, which secures the vane rotor between an end portion 321 of the driven shaft or the drive shaft and the seating surface, has a rotationally symmetrical shape relative to the rotational axis.
