Abstract:
This valve timing adjustment device (100A, 100B, 100C) comprises: a first rotating body (10) that rotates in conjunction with the rotation of a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; a second rotating body (20, 20B, 20C) that is turnably supported with respect to the first rotating body between a first position and a second position, and, by rotating with the first rotating body, transmits the rotational force of the first rotating body to a camshaft (2) that opens and closes a valve of the internal combustion engine; and a turning restriction member (32) that moves between a restriction position for restricting the turning of the second rotating body with respect to the first rotating body while the second rotating body is positioned at a third position between the first position and the second position, and a permission position that permits the turning of the second rotating body with respect to the first rotating body. The first rotating body forms, with the second rotating body, a first space (S3) and a second space (S4) into which pressure is transmitted by means of a working fluid. The second rotating body turns between the first position and the second position due to the pressure difference of the working fluid in the first space and the second space. The turning restriction member is arranged so as to be exposed to a third space (S5) that allows the pressure from the working fluid to be transmitted from the first space and the second space, and moves between the restriction position and the permission position due to a change in the pressure of the working fluid transmitted into the third space.
