Abstract:
In this valve timing control device, a first vane (V1) and a second vane (V2) among first to fourth vanes (V1)-(V4) are formed so as to protrude from a first large-diameter part (31) and a second large diameter part (32) which are formed on a rotor main body (30) of a vane rotor (3). The first and second large-diameter parts (31), (32) are disposed inside a first working chamber (A1) and a second working chamber (A2) formed in the circumferential direction between first to fourth shoes (S1)-(S4) of a housing (2), and the first and second large-diameter parts constantly cover a first lock hole (H1) and a second lock hole (H2). From the above configuration, the pressure-receiving surfaces of the first and second vanes (V1), (V2) including the first and second large-diameter parts (31), (32) can be formed. Due to this configuration, the torque of the vane rotor (3) can be increased, and fluttering of the vane rotor (3) caused by alternating torque can be suppressed.
