Abstract:
Provided is a vanadium dioxide which has excellent moisture resistance and in which deterioration of endothermic properties due to moisture is reduced. This vanadium dioxide is Ti-doped or is further doped with other atoms selected from the group consisting of W, Ta, Mo, and Nb. The vanadium dioxide is characterized in that: when the other atom is W, a molar part of the content of the other atom with respect to 100 molar parts of a total of vanadium, Ti, and the other atom is greater than 0 molar part and 5 molar parts or less; when the other atom is Ta, Mo, or Nb, a molar part of the content of the other atom with respect to 100 molar parts of the total of vanadium, Ti, and the other atom is greater than 0 molar part and 15 molar parts or less; and a molar part of a titanium content with respect to 100 molar parts of the total of vanadium, Ti, and the other atom is 2 to 30 molar parts.
