Abstract:
The present invention provides a variable-rigidity soft base joint based on teeth engagement, and a manufacturing mold therefor. The soft base joint comprises: an inner silicone tube, wherein the inner silicone tube comprises a silicone tube and outer teeth arranged on an outer wall of the silicone tube, the silicone tube has an internal cavity, and the internal cavity is used for accommodating a PU tube connected to an outer air pump; an outer silicone tube, which is sleeved outside the inner silicone tube, wherein annular teeth grooves are formed in an inner wall of the outer silicone tube, and the annular teeth grooves engage with the outer teeth; and a first end cover and a second end cover, which are respectively arranged at two ends of the base joint, wherein the first end cover and the second end cover are used for connecting the inner silicone tube to the outer silicone tube to form a closed soft base joint. In the present invention, the rigidity of the soft base joint is changed by changing the degree of engagement between the inner silicone tube and the outer silicone tube, and therefore the rigidity of a soft robot can change in real time.
