Abstract:
The present invention achieves, with a simpler configuration, a device capable of switching a supply source to a power storage unit without cutting off a power supply to a power supply target even in cases where the power supply from a power source unit ceases. A backup device (1) is provided with: a wiring part (81) which is disposed between a power source unit (91) and a load (93) and to which a voltage is applied on the basis of an output from the power source unit (91) when a power supply from the power source unit (91) is in a normal state; a wiring part (82) disposed between a power storage unit (7) and the wiring part (81); and a diode (80) disposed between the wiring part (81) and the wiring part (82). The diode (80) restricts a flow of current from the wiring part (82) to the wiring part (81) when the voltage of the wiring part (82) is smaller than the voltage of the wiring part (81) and allows the flow of current from the wiring part (82) to the wiring part (81) when the voltage of the wiring part (82) is larger than the voltage of the wiring part (81).
