Abstract:
In the present invention, a vehicle body lateral section (13) contains an upper stiffener (43). The upper stiffener (43) extends upward from a rear wheel housing (41), overlapping the bottom end (65) of a pillar inner (51), and the upper stiffener (43) is provided with an extension (66) that continues to the pillar inner (51). The vehicle body lateral section (13) has: a first closed-cross-section section (67) formed from the rear wheel housing (41) and the upper stiffener (43); and a second closed-cross-section section (71) formed from the pillar inner (51) and a pillar stiffener (52).
