Abstract:
According to the present invention, a vehicle body rear structure of a vehicle having a tailgate on the rear side of a vehicle body is provided with: a left/right pair of first and second longitudinal members extending in the vehicle body front/back direction; and a first lateral member bridging in the vehicle body width direction between rear-end portions of the first and second longitudinal members in the vehicle body front/back direction. At least a rear end surface of the first lateral member is disposed further backward of the vehicle body than the tailgate.
