Abstract:
This vehicle control system is provided with: a detection unit for detecting an object present within a detection region; a travel control unit for controlling, on the basis of a detection result by the detection unit, the travel of an own vehicle; and a determination unit for determining whether the object detected by the detection unit is present in a blind spot region outside the detection region of the detection unit. The travel control unit performs a control by changing the relative position of the own vehicle with respect to the object within the blind spot region when the determination unit determines that the object is present in the blind spot region.
