Abstract:
A vehicle data collection system equipped with an in-vehicle device installed in a vehicle and a server for collecting data from the in-vehicle device, wherein: the in-vehicle device is equipped with a data collection unit for collecting vehicle data, which is data pertaining to the vehicle, a data conversion unit for converting the collected vehicle data into formatted data of a version which corresponds to the vehicle data type, and writing said version onto the formatted data, and a data transmission unit for transmitting the formatted data onto which said version has been written to the server; and the server is equipped with a data-receiving unit for receiving the formatted data, and a data restoration unit for restoring the vehicle data from the formatted data on the basis of the version indicated by the formatted data.
