Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle drive motor in which the lubrication of a bearing can be maintained even when an electric vehicle is not driven for a long period of time. The vehicle drive motor comprises: a casing that fixes a cylindrical stator coil to the inner circumferential surface thereof and is provided with an oil passage at an upper portion; an output shaft that is disposed within the casing and fixes a rotor at a position facing the stator coil; a bearing that supports the output shaft; and an oil holding portion that is disposed facing the bearing and stores an oil supplied from the oil passage, wherein, when viewed from the front, from the axial direction of the output shaft, the oil holding portion is a pocket-shaped saucer, the upper side of which is lower than the lower end of the output shaft and the lower side of which is along the lower outer circumference of the bearing.
