Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vehicle forced stopping device that forces a vehicle, including a rear-wheel-drive vehicle or a four-wheel-drive vehicle, to stop, that can disable the vehicle by deterring fleeing or further runaway driving by a driver, that requires little time, effort, and space for storage, transport, installation, and removal, and that has a simple structure and is low in cost. [Solution] A vehicle forced stopping device is characterized: by comprising a first vehicle support body and a second vehicle support body that has a maximum ground height lower than that of the first vehicle support body, the two vehicle support bodies being mutually fastened by a cable body and combined in a separable manner; in that the first vehicle support body is provided with a first inclined section that is inclined upward in the direction of advancement of the vehicle and a collision section that is erected on the front of the first inclined section; in that the second vehicle support body is provided with a second inclined section that is inclined upward in the direction of advancement of the vehicle; and in that the maximum ground clearance of each of the vehicle support bodies is such that wheels of the supported vehicle come at least at a height so as not to be in contact with a road surface.
