A vehicle-mounted display device (10) and a control method therefor. The vehicle-mounted display device (10) comprises a display main body (11) and a heating structure (12); the display main body (11) is provided with a bending area (11a); the heating structure (12) is located on the back surface of the display main body (11) and is located in the bending area (11a); the front surface of the display main body (11) is used for displaying, and the back surface is a surface opposite to the front surface. The heating structure (12) is provided on the back surface of the display main body (11) in the vehicle-mounted display device (10), and the heating structure (12) is used for heating, so that the bending area (11a) of the display main body (11) is in an environment having a suitable temperature, thereby facilitating reduction of the possibility of damage to the vehicle-mounted display device (10) during bending.
