Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vehicle onboard camera in which both compact size and high functionality can be achieved. [Solution] This vehicle onboard camera comprises an optical unit, a frame, a cover member, a holder, and a pair of threaded members. The frame has a flat plate-shaped front wall section that extends along a plane perpendicular to one axis, and a pair of first through-hole sections that are provided in the front wall section. The cover member has a pair of second through-hole sections that neighbor the pair of first through-hole sections to the front thereof in the direction of the one axis. The holder has a retention section that retains the optical unit, a pair of columnar sections that protrude frontward and are inserted into the pair of first through-hole sections and the pair of second through-holes sections from the rear in the direction of the one axis, and a pair of threaded hole sections that are formed facing rearward from tip end sections of the pair of columnar sections. The holder and the cover member are fixed to the frame by inserting the pair of threaded members into the pair of second through-hole sections from the front, and fastening the pair of threaded members to the pair of threaded hole sections.
