Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle seat such that the characteristics of an S-spring can be changed by a simple configuration and therefore improved seating performance can be achieved by changing the characteristics of the S-spring according to the body type of an occupant. In a vehicle seat (1) in which an S-spring (6) is extended on a seat cushion frame which supports a seat cushion on which an occupant is to be seated, a restricting member (13) for partially restricting the extending deformation of the S-spring (6) is detachably attached to the S-spring (6). The restricting member (13) is provided with: a pair of wire hook portions (15, 16) hooked onto a lateral line portion (8) and a rear-end lateral line portion (12) of the S-spring (6); and an elongated wire portion (14) connecting the pair of wire hook portions (15, 16). By hooking the pair of wire hook portions (15, 16) of the restricting member (13), the extensional rigidity of the S-spring (6) can be increased, and by changing the hooked position of the pair of wire hook portions (15, 16) of the restricting member (13), the deflection rigidity of the S-spring (6) can be changed.
