Abstract:
This vehicle sway prediction system: determines, on the basis of a forward image generated by using a camera to capture the area to the front in the direction of travel of a vehicle, the condition of a forward road on which the vehicle is to travel; determines the current vehicle motion state on the basis of motion direction sensor information from a motion direction sensor that detects the motion direction of the vehicle; predicts, on the basis of the road condition and the the current vehicle motion state, sway of the vehicle to be generated when the vehicle travels on the forward road; and issues a notification from a notification device that vehicle sway is predicted.
