Abstract:
A vehicle wheel bearing device is provided which can dam a sufficient amount of mud or other foreign matter. This vehicle wheel bearing device (1) is provided with: an outer race (2) having an outer raceway (2c, 2d); an inner member which comprises a hub wheel (3) having a small-diameter stepped part (3a) and an inner race (4) press-fitted into the small-diameter stepped part (3a), and which has an inner raceway (3c,4a) opposite of the outer raceway (2c, 2d); a row of balls (5, 6); and an outer-side sealing member (10), wherein the outer race (2) has a groove (2g) which is formed along the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface (2o) on the outer-side end of the outer race (2), and a dam member (11) which is formed in a ring shape and which is fitted in the groove (2g) and projects radially outwards from the outer peripheral surface (2o) of the outer race (2), and the dam member (11) has a cut part (11c) which has been radially cut.
